Colombia is probably my favourite south american country for travel. The reason for this is that it offers a great variety of things to do. From trekking in the andes to surfing on the pacific coast or snorkeling on carribean beaches there’s something to do for everyone. Colombia’s people are incredibly friendly and their easy-going lifestyle will surely get you in the mood for relaxation.
Colombia had and still has a reputation for drug related crime and guerilla troops terrorizing people. This unfortunately for the colombians is true in some regions but usually doesn’t affect tourists – or at least I didn’t feel affected.

I agree, it may be a bit late to have a look back at 2014, but my goal was to at least publish this post before the end of 2015 – so I’d call it a success! Anyways, if anyone is still interested in what my past year was like go ahead…

When we boarded our plane to Colombia we were considerably more excited than usual (for obvious reasons) but despite it’s questionable reputation as a tourist destination, Colombia proved that it has a lot more to offer than cocain and gun-toting guerrillas…
