Reserva Biológica Indio Maíz is a tropical rainforest in the south east of Nicaragua close to the costa rican border. The main route of entry is via the Río San Juán river and thus the way there is an adventure itself. Access is very limited, with just a few option for small hikes. Visitors are rewarded with an almost untouched primary forest home to an abundance of plants and wild animals.
